TIOMAN ISLAND

DREAMY AND DUTY-FREE TROPICAL PARADISE.

A tropical paradise on the east coast of Malaysia. Tioman Island is much, much more than just a beautiful dive destination. It's a haven of relaxation aimed at reconnecting you with nature.

Because of its duty-free status, visit the town for a spot of shopping to enjoy great value on tobacco, alcohol and most definitely - chocolates!

Hike pas laidback villages, beyond cascading waterfalls and find yourself stumbling upon idyllic beaches with glittering emerald water all around this wondrous island.

Off the white sandy shores of Salang Beach and Monkey Bay are extensive coral reefs teeming with a wide variety of marine life. Reef sharks, sea turtles and if you're lucky, the gentle giants of the sea - the whale sharks. Much great reason for a spot of diving.

Due to its location, the best time to visit this island is between early March until the end of October to enjoy guaranteed clear visibility and a calm sea.

Once you're done with the fauna of the ocean, head towards the large boulder structures in the depths that create mazes of swim-throughs. They are also stunning coral reefs and many wrecks off the coast; old and new.

Itinerary

Let's Dive In!

  • 1

    Welcome to Paradise

Upon your arrival at Mersing or Tanjung Gemok jetty, your journey begins by sailing with a ferry to the island via ABC jetty check-point. If you arrive early, the guides might be able to squeeze in a one-boat dive for you. The first day is usually for relaxation.

  • 2

    Up Close with Corals

Following 2 dives around the island, you will head north toward Coral Island. If conditions are favourable, one dive in the evening, followed by a night dive in the crystal clear waters. If you decide against the night dive, feel free to explore the trail leading to Monkey Bay.

  • 3

    The Tiger Beckons

After an early start, you will reach Tiger Reef, an underwater pinnacle that starts at 10m and goes down to 22m, where colourful corals and barrel sponges are aplenty. Even whale sharks have been spotted here so prepare your camera. After 2 dives, choose between a night dive here or a rejuvenating bicycle ride around the island.

  • 4

    Adieu

Greet your final day on this tropical island paradise with two refreshing morning dives in time to checkout and head back to the airport, Mersing jetty or Tanjung Gemok jetty.
